Foundations of Leadership

Responsible leaders are needed in today’s world now more than ever. Too often good people rise to roles of influence because they excel at what they do, yet want their leadership to reach a higher level of impact within their organization and community.

This training series equips rising and mid-level leaders with a framework of leadership practices grounded in a relational approach that values authenticity, trust, and respect across all of our human interactions.

  • Duration: 20 hours (certificate provided)
  • Designed for: Child and Youth Care and other social service organizations
  • CYC competency domain: Professional practice
  • Course structure: 90 minute weekly videoconference over 10 weeks

Participants learn how to strengthen their impact by exploring three drivers of organizational resilience: (1) Personal leadership capacity, (2) dynamics of organizational culture, and (3) the process of developing competencies in others.
