ABOUT THE SERIES

This 10‑session series guides current and emerging leaders to develop the inner mindset and skills required to be effective in trauma-exposed child and family service settings. Environments where needs and demands are high and leaders must balance accountability with support. It is built on a practical and relational approach, recognizing that traditional or overly rigid methods often fall short in real‑world environments.

Each session introduces concepts leaders can begin using right away, including:

  • Expanding self-awareness to improve decision-making and presence
  • Breaking reactive leadership patterns
  • Building practices that support long-term effectiveness
  • Interpersonal effectiveness
  • Conflict resolution
  • Creating psychological safety
  • Being an adaptive leader

Uniquely designed for organizations that want to grow leaders who have the practical habits and mindset to contribute to a positive organizational culture that supports quality care and services.

This program includes the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI), a research-based assessment providing practical insights into the motivational and relational dynamics that shape how people work together. It highlights motives, conflict patterns, and strengths—along with how those strengths can limit effectiveness when overused. The SDI gives leaders insight into what drives behavior in both steady times and stress, strengthening communication and collaboration.
