When team members understand how their motivations and strengths intersect, they build trust faster and become more effective in their roles. Just like we depend on self-awareness in our work, we also need team-awareness. This special 3-hour training will help team members:
Participants will get personalized results from the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI 2.0) - the same powerful assessment I use in the Trauma-Informed Leadership Certificate Program.
The Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI) offers a comprehensive understanding of your workplace personality through four interrelated views: two that reveal what truly drives you at work, and two that highlight your preferred strengths—the behaviors you’re most likely to use (and sometimes overuse) when collaborating with colleagues.
At the heart of the Strength Deployment Inventory is your unique Motivational Value System (MVS). Every individual is driven by a distinct blend of three fundamental motives: People, Performance, and Process. Your personal MVS illuminates what truly motivates you when circumstances are favorable, providing vital insights into your workplace behaviors and decision-making processes. By understanding your MVS, you can harness your strengths, improve team dynamics, and achieve greater job satisfaction and productivity.
The SDI assessment also reveals how your motivations change under pressure. Your unique Conflict Sequence illustrates the dynamic shifts in your motives when facing workplace obstacles or interpersonal tensions. By understanding this sequence, you gain valuable insights into your style of managing conflict, helping you navigate challenging situations more effectively, improve team dynamics, and maintain productivity even when under stress.
In the SDI assessment, strengths are defined as behaviors that lead to positive results in professional relationships. Your personalized Strengths Portrait ranks the behaviors you’re most likely to use at work, showing how you approach tasks and interactions and also the strategies you apply to achieve results. By understanding your Strengths Portrait, you can better leverage your strengths, enhancing team collaboration and overall workplace performance.
The SDI assessment recognizes that even our best qualities can become liabilities when overused or misapplied. Your personalized Overdone Strengths Portrait identifies the workplace behaviors you’re most likely to overdo, potentially triggering conflicts and hindering productivity. By understanding these tendencies, you can develop greater self-awareness, improve your professional relationships, and fine-tune your approach to various work situations.
